Jane's Doodles - Rain or shine

Hello Friends,

I hope you all are doing good and enjoying the winter weather. But my friends in Chennai are having rough time. They were hit by the highest rainfall of the century! The whole city just submerged for days. Water logging and intermittent episodes of more rain is adding to their agony.

Today's card is for all my Chennai friends who need little sunshine right now! Sending them lots of love and prayers and wishing them blue skies and sunny days!

I have used Jane's Doodles new release stamp Rain or Shine !

I took a panel of sky blue card stock. I stamped it with text background and applied gesso randomly to soften the colour and text and allow it to merge in background. I also stamped fence form Jane's Double Trouble set. I die-cut clouds with PTI die and mount the panel with foam tape to give dimension. I adhere those sparkling clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh  to create a faux shaker look.
( I have a confession - till now I was being cheap an using locally available sequins. But a month back I got a chance to buy these PPP sequins and boy oh boy... how sparkly they are! They immediately lift your card a notch higher! Love it!)
The images are coloured with copic, sun and umbrella are fussy cut, sending is from Simonsays stamp and sunshine is PTI die.

That's all for today! I will be back with something other than card...:) ! Stay tuned and keep crafting!

Hugs!

  4. What a fun card! love the idea about toning down the stamping with gesso, and that faux shaker card effect is so fab, I will certainly try it out!
